EXPLORE HANOI IN A DIFFERENT WAY
At 9 a.m., our guide will pick you up at your accommodation to start the tour with a 45-minute cyclo ride through Hanoi to a local market.
At the market, you’ll pick up fresh ingredients for your cooking class and have a chance to try popular Vietnamese street food such as Banh ran (Glutinous rice balls).
Around 10:30 a.m., we return to the restaurant for a hands-on cooking class led by a local chef with over 20 years of experience in Vietnamese cuisine. You’ll learn to prepare four traditional dishes: Goi Cuon (Summer Rolls), Banh Cuon (Steamed Rice Rolls), Goi Du Du Com Vong (Green Papaya Salad with Green Rice Flakes), and Ca Kho To (Braised Fish in Clay Pot). Vegetarian and vegan options are available.
Once the cooking is complete, sit down and enjoy the meal you’ve prepared at the restaurant.
You’ll then have free time until 5 p.m. before meeting your guide again for an evening Jeep tour through Hanoi.
The tour takes you beyond the usual sights, exploring local backstreets and hidden alleyways where you can see a more authentic side of everyday Hanoi life.
You’ll also pass through the French Quarter and Old Quarter, with landmarks such as the Hanoi Opera House and Long Bien Bridge along the way, while discovering the city’s French architectural influence.
The journey continues around West Lake and Truc Bach Lake, taking in peaceful old villages, spiritual sites, and the newer parts of Hanoi with their modern skyline.
Throughout the tour, you’ll experience the contrasts of Hanoi, from quiet local neighborhoods to the lively streets of the city center, while discovering the flavors of traditional Hanoian cuisine for your dinner (Vegetarian and vegan options are available).
The tour will end at around 21:30, and we will return you to your place in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

- Pick-up is only available in Hanoi’s Old Quarter area.
- The price includes lunch and dinner and does NOT include transportation outside Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
- Free time from 13:00 to 17:00.
