THE JOURNEY TO ELEGANCE
The tour will start at 8:00, when we will come and greet you at your place in Hanoi. The transportation can be varied based on your preferences or the weather; we can ride a motorbike, a car, or walk on this tour.
We will have breakfast with Bun thang, which has an elegant presentation. It is often compared to a “five-colored flower” (bông hoa ngũ sắc), a true symbol of the capital’s culinary refinement. This dish is a delicate harmony of flavors, made with ingredients such as dried shrimp, shredded chicken, fried egg, and Vietnamese pork sausage.
Despite being made from simple ingredients such as dried beef, shredded green papaya, spleen, fresh herbs, and crushed roasted peanuts, Nom bo kho Hanoi is incredibly delicious. Combined with a sweet and sour dipping sauce, it offers a refreshing flavor that keeps you coming back for more.
After wandering around the city, we can refresh ourselves with a bowl of Che khuc bach. Its distinctive flavor reflects the sophistication in both ingredient selection and preparation. This dessert is made from unsweetened milk, fresh cream, gelatin, matcha powder, pandan leaves, basil seeds, almonds, longan or lychee, and rock sugar or white sugar.
Lastly, we can have a bowl of Bun Rieu for lunch. This hearty Hanoi specialty is packed with ingredients made primarily with fresh rice vermicelli and crab paste. The broth is light yet flavorful, featuring a tangy taste from tomatoes and fermented rice vinegar. The dish is topped with golden crab clusters, minced crab meat, and often enhanced with shrimp paste, fried shallots, and a variety of fresh herbs and vegetables.
Our tour around Hanoi will end at around 11:00, and this is when we will say goodbye to you at your accommodation.
