A TRIP TO THE BEAUTY OF SILK

At around 8:00, our tour guide will come to where you stay in Hanoi and take you on a ride that will last for about 40 minutes to Van Phuc silk village.

Upon arrival, you can take a walk around the village to get a glimpse of it. During this, you can also appreciate the beauty of the village by taking a lot of photos of some unique destinations, such as:

  • The gate of the village: a traditionally built gate with red bricks that reflects the dignity and resilience of the entire village, ready to overcome any challenges to preserve and further develop the craft for future generations.
  • The umbrella road: where hundreds of charming little umbrellas hang overhead, covering a 100-meter-long path, which represents the colorful silk products of the village.
  • The large fresco wall: a colorful wall that was drawn by the teachers of Van Phuc kindergarten. The fresco portrays the daily life of Van Phuc village.
  • The Tile Bridge: built in the Thuong Gia, Ha Kieu architectural style, meaning a house above and a bridge below, is considered one of the unique bridge structures in Vietnam.

Visiting the Van Phuc silk market, you will have the opportunity to dive into a vibrant world of shimmering fabrics, colorful stalls, and the lively atmosphere of one of Vietnam’s most famous traditional craft villages. The patterns of the silk are incredibly diverse, inspired by four main themes: plants, animals, geometric shapes, and objects. What makes Van Phuc silk special is the way they are arranged symmetrically, which defines its timeless value.

After a half-day tour around Van Phuc village, we will hop back in our vehicle and return to Hanoi at approximately 12:00.
